Spring Clean Your Beauty Routine With These Spring Skin Care Tips
Spring is a time for cleaning. While you’re likely looking to get your house in order, you might forget to spring clean your beauty routine. The spring skin care tips below can not only help you do away with some of that winter dryness, but can also help you feel better about the way that you look when the sun finally returns.
Do Some REAL Cleaning
Winter’s over, so it is time to start moving from damage control over to skin care and general beautification. For many, this means taking the time to actually go through their beauty supplies to figure out what is going to work for the sunnier seasons, and what is not. It’s also a good time to get rid of old or expired makeup. It shouldn’t be a long process, but it is one that you’ll need to tackle.
Go for the Sunscreen
One of the most common ways to damage your skin is by absorbing too much UV radiation. While the winter has its own sunshine concerns, the spring is when some of the most damage can be done. It might be deceptively cool or cloudy outside, but you can still cause major damage to your skin if you don’t have some kind of protection. Think about buying lotions or makeup that provide skin protection – you will thank yourself later.
Revive Your Skin
The dry air of winter can be incredibly rough on the skin, so make sure that you do a little bit of revitalization work as soon as possible. Once that cold air is gone and some moisture seeps back into the ecosystem, you can start to use revitalizing products that are meant to return moisture to your skin and give you a more youthful appearance. Moisture’s one of the real keys to truly beautiful skin, so seek out products that will make you look and feel your best. If you are in a rush, look for products that claim to be “age defying” or “youthful” – most of them will include the moisturizing ingredients that you need.
Prepare for Reactions
One of the most under-rated necessities of spring skin care is preparing for any allergic reactions that you might have to pollen, dander, and all of the other lovely allergens that come back with the warmer weather. Don’t just stock up on antihistamines next time you go to the store – be sure that you have a good supply of skincare products that can deal with blotchy spots and other tell-tale signs of allergies.
